Infant/Toddler Yoga

Infant/Toddler yoga is a programme inspired to introduce young children to stretches, movements, songs and relaxation. Practising yoga regularly with children has many benefits:
 

  • stretches promote strength, flexibility, balance and coordination.
  • encourages body awareness and increases self esteem.
  • encourages language and listening skills.
  • can boost immune system, improve quality of sleep and help regulate a child's digestive system.
  • improves emotional regulation by teaching a child to be in the present moment while relaxing and gaining a peaceful state of mind.
  • when a parent or carer engages in yoga practice with their child it creates an opportunity for bonding, to have fun and enjoy the experience of mutual relaxation.
