Communication is a skill that is needed for almost everything we do, yet upwards of 50% of children start school with delayed speech and language skills.
Speech, language and communication (SLC) needs are one of the most common difficulties experienced by children and young people. At Sure Start we strive to help all children reach their potential in their development. We have a speech and language therapist whose role is to ensure SLC support is part of all aspects of our Sure Start services.
